And here lies the end of Phoenirius' celebrity portraits.

The main reason for my lack of portrait submissions' cause they just don't do it for me anymore, and without motivation, I simply can't produce them.

I hope you all understand, and know that I drew this for you guys. For the great number of you who have recently added me to their watch list, waiting out on more of these.

No I'm not leaving DA. The celebrity portraits are.

Well... here's the last of it's type. One last familiar face.

Based on Mena Suvari, not aimed to be a replica: [link] Scan was shit, so I made it darker - yet it still isn't as dark as the actual drawing.
- Charcoal (2B, 4B)
- White Charcoal/pastel
- Cotton buds/q-tips
- Tortillion
- Right middle finger

beautiful work, and I entirely, completely understand why you want to stop doing them! I applaud you for it!! There are entirely too many celeb portraits on DA from the few awesome artists (such as your work) to beginner. If it doesn't do it for you anymore... then hey, do what makes you happy!
I love your work, I am sure I will love whatever comes next!

i really like what you've done with it. i understand what you mean about needing to be motivated to make drawings like these.
